A Chartered Physiotherapist treats injury and disease by correcting and improving the body’s own natural healing mechanisms, without the use of drugs or medication unless prescribed by a doctor.
Only members of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (known as Chartered Physiotherapists and having the designatory letters MCSP after their names) who are registered with the Health and Care Professions Council have undergone the required training and passed the necessary examinations to enable them to practice.
All practitioners working at Physio Logic Ltd are fully qualified Chartered Physiotherapists registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.
Our Physiotherapists treat conditions such as:
PLEASE NOTE: There are many other musculo-skeletal conditions not necessarily listed here which can benefit from our care. Please contact the Physio Logic reception if you require help or further information.
An initial comprehensive assessment will determine the most appropriate form of treatment for each individual during which a clear logical explanation of the problem and subsequent advice on its management will also be given. Physiotherapists can then use a number of treatment methods to help alleviate your symptoms.
These can involve a hands-on approach such as:
SOFT TISSUE MOBILISATION
PASSIVE STRETCHING TECHNIQUES
TRACTION manual and mechanical
Your Physiotherapist is also qualified to use Electrotherapeutic Modalities such as:
PULSED & CONTINUOUS SHORTWAVE DIATHERMY
A number of other methods include
HEAT & ICE THERAPY
BOBATH TECHNIQUES (for neurology patients)
ACUPUNCTURE for pain relief
There is no time constraint placed on your physiotherapy session. This allows your physiotherapist to undertake a full detailed assessment of your condition, provide you with an explanation of your problem and give you the treatment required, as well as giving you advice so that you can help take care of your problem after leaving the clinic.
Your Physiotherapist will also advise you on any necessary EXERCISE REHABILITATION including:
Your Physiotherapist can also advise you on other forms of treatment such as Osteopathy, Podiatry, Chiropody, and Traditional Chinese Medicine.
We have vast experience in treating sports injuries. Many acute injuries to joints, muscles, tendons and ligaments are accompanied by bleeding, swelling, and pain.
In these cases treatment should be immediate to reduce the symptoms to a minimum so that healing can take place as soon as possible. The physiotherapist can help you regain full function of the injured part.
You will also be advised on the prevention of injury. When in doubt, always seek the advice of a Chartered Physiotherapist, who will help you to return to your sport as quickly as possible.
A physiotherapist specialising in neurology and respiratory conditions is available to treat patients who, on discharge from hospital, wish to continue with their rehabilitation at home.
Patients can either be treated at the clinic or, if access is restricted, then the physiotherapist is happy to make home visits.
Treatment can be on a ‘one-off’ basis whereby the physiotherapist will assess, treat and advise the patient and their relatives on the rehabilitation they should continue with, or on a more regular basis, depending on the patient’s requirements.
You do not need a referral from your Doctor unless you have health insurance cover stipulating that a GP referral is required. If you have a GP referral letter this should be brought with you so we can correspond with your Doctor regarding your treatment.
